Sept. 27th
The weather forecast was for a 'brilliant' day, and the weatherman was 100% correct, allowing us to explore the grounds around Windsor Castle, and they proved to be spectacular. First as we walked among the many deer thought out the forest, we headed for "The Long Walk", a road in front of the castle of just under 3 miles. The views were breathtaking and it was hard to leave, but there was more to see as we then headed for The Royal Landscape and Virginia Water. Here we walked along the shore of the lake taking in one view after another. It is amazing that within sight of Heathrow airport and London, these lands are open to the public to enjoy in all seasons.
As the day drew to a close, we drove back to Claygate for one final family dinner at a local pub.

Tomorrow will be a long day as we fly home with memories of the past two weeks and dreams of future adventures.
